प्रथम विश्व युद्ध की शुरुआत 28 जुलाई 1914 ई. को इसका तात्कालिक कारण आस्ट्रिया के राजकुमार फर्डिनेंड की बोस्निया की राजधानी सराजेवो में की गई हत्या थी।
यह युद्ध 4 वर्षों अर्थात 1918 तक चला। इसमें 37 देशों ने भाग लिया।
-प्रथम विश्व युद्ध में संपूर्ण विश्व दो भागों में बंटा था - मित्र राष्ट्र एवं धुरी राष्ट्र
- धुरी राष्ट्रों का नेतृत्व जर्मनी ने किया। इसमें शामिल अन्य देश थे - ऑस्ट्रिया, हंगरी, तुर्की, इटली आदि
- मित्र राष्ट्रों में इंग्लैण्ड, फ्रांस, रुस, जापान तथा संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका जैसे देश शामिल थे।
- इटली बाद में धुरी राष्ट्रों से अलग होकर मित्र राष्ट्र की तरफ जा मिला।
-- क्रांति के बाद रुस युद्ध से अलग हो गया।
- संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका प्रारंभ में तटस्थ था, लेकिन जर्मनी द्वारा ब्रिटेन के लूसीतोनिया जहाज डुबोने तथा अमेरिकी जहाजों को ढूढने के बाद वह मित्र राष्ट्रों की तरफ से युद्ध मेँ उतरा।
- लूसीतोनिया जहाज डूबने वालों में अमेरिकियों की संख्या अधिक थी।
- प्रथम विश्व युद्ध की समाप्ति 11 नवंबर 1918 को हुई।
- 18 जून, 1918 को पेरिस में शांति सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें 27 देशों के नेताओं ने भाग लिया।
- पेरिस, शांति सम्मेलन में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति वुडरों विल्सन ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री लॉयड जॉर्ज तथा फ्रांस के प्रधानमंत्री जॉर्ज कलीमेन्शु की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका थी।
-मित्र राष्ट्रों ने जर्मनी के साथ वर्साय की संधि, ऑस्ट्रिया के साथ सेंट जर्मेन की संधि, बुलगारिया के साथ न्यूली की संधि, हंगरी के साथ त्रिआनों की संधि तथा तुर्की के साथ सेब्रे की संधि की।
- मित्र राष्ट्रों ने पराजित जर्मनी के साथ काफी अन्यायपूर्ण वर्साय की संधि की थी, जिसके कारण पूरे विश्व को 20 वर्ष बाद पुनः पुणे एक और विश्वयुद्ध में उलझना पड़ा।
- युद्धोपरांत विश्व में शांति स्थापना के लिए एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संस्था राष्ट्र संघ या लीग ऑफ नेशंस की स्थापना 1920 मेँ की गई।
First world war
The beginning of the First World War was the assassination of Prince Ferdinand of Austria on 28 July 1914 in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia.
This war lasted for 4 years i.e. till 1918. 37 countries participated in it.
In the First World War, the whole world was divided into two parts - the Allies and the Axis.
Germany led the Axis nations. Other countries involved were - Austria, Hungary, Turkey, Italy etc.
The Allies included countries like England, France, Russia, Japan and the United States of America.
Italy later seceded from the Axis countries and joined the Allies.
After the revolution, Russia withdrew from the war.
The United States was initially neutral, but entered the war on behalf of the Allies after Germany sank Britain's Lusitania ship and found American ships.
The number of Americans was more among those who sank the Lusitania ship.
The First World War ended on 11 November 1918.
On June 18, 1918, a peace conference was organized in Paris, in which leaders of 27 countries participated.
- Paris, US President Woodrow Wilson, British Prime Minister Lloyd George and French Prime Minister George Kalimenshu had an important role in the peace conference.
The Allies made the Treaty of Versailles with Germany, the Treaty of Saint Germain with Austria, the Treaty of Neuilly with Bulgaria, the Treaty of Trianon with Hungary, and the Treaty of Sebre with Turkey.
The Allies had made a very unjust treaty of Versailles with the defeated Germany, due to which the whole world was again involved in another world war after 20 years.
The League of Nations or League of Nations, an international organization for establishing peace in the post-war world, was established in 1920.
